World Book Day

6th March 2014

Eastlea celebrated World Book Day in style on Thursday 6th March when everyone from across the school dressed up as story characters.  We had some fabulous costumes!  The school was filled with fairy tale princesses, evil witches, gingerbread men, pirates, rapunzels, little red riding hoods, seven dwarves, 'Where's Wally' and wolves!!   At a special assembly, Year 3 told everyone about the importance of reading and how much fun, excitement and enjoyment we can get from reading books.  Every pupil from Nursery to Year 6 was presented with a  'World Book Day' story book to mark the occasion.
